First Day: Los Angeles Airport

We are currently at the airport in Los Angeles waiting for our flight to Aucklund then Sydney. We took our break at a Mexican restaurant in the airport and as luck would have it, the Vikings vs Packers game was just starting. We had a great time watching the game and drinking margaritas. We were happy the Vikings won. It was a great game!

Our flights from Anchorage and Seattle went smoothly. Harold sat by the window on the flight to LA, and said he saw Half Dome in the distance.

Last night we had dinner with Jay, Marcia and Matt. Unfortunately, Jeanie and Nick needed to head home, so we sent them off after getting a few pics of Jonas.

On our way down here, we realized that we are actually arriving in Sydney at 1:55 pm Wenesday, rather than 8 a.m. as we thought. We will be connecting with the crew down at the games sign-in rather than at the airport as we planned. Our Auckland layover will be another 4 hours, and then 3.5 hour flight to Sydney. Quite a difference.

Inspirational canoe hanging in Seattle airport
that we enjoyed while waiting to fly to L.A.
Harold is checking for caches near the Auckland airport, so we can try to claim a find in New Zealand during the layover!
Not bad for inebriated, eh?
Crikey!
